What we need from you!

• We need you to pay attention to your own inner wisdom. If you even suspect that you have a serious condition, please seek medical care immediately. Annapolis Community Acupuncture does not provide primary medical care or emergency treatment for conditions requiring the immediate attention of a physician. Acupuncture is intended to complement regular medical care. It is not a substitute for it. If you think you have a serious condition, or need to see a physician, please do so. Once you have received medical care, we would be happy to provide you with acupuncture services. There may be a time when your acupuncturist recommends an evaluation by a physician before acupuncture is performed. Please understand that this decision is based upon our concern for your well-being.
• We need you to be community-minded. This means respecting others in the group, by turning your cell phone off (vibrate can still disturb others), and speaking minimally and in whispers. There may be a time when your favorite recliner is in use. Please make yourself comfortable in another recliner. Please avoid wearing perfumes or other scents, as they can cause headaches in people with sensitivities. Most people doze during their treatment, and some do snore. We encourage you to bring any special items which will help you feel comfortable and relaxed, such as ear plugs, music with headphones, or special blankets, pillows or stuffed animals.
• We need you to keep your acupuncturist informed about changes in your condition. Your observations are very important! Please tell your acupuncturist about any new conditions (which include pregnancy), diagnoses from your physician, medications or treatments, or new personal concerns. Your treatment plan may need to be revised.
  
• If you have to cancel an appointment, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance. There are always people waiting for appointments. Cancellations, no shows, and rescheduled appointments without 24 hour notice are charged the regular fee.
• Please share your experience here at Annapolis Community Acupuncture. A big reason why we can keep costs down is because we do not do a lot of advertising. Our patients do our advertising - by sharing their experience with others.
